Well, Hello There!

Hello, lovelies.

Yes, I know it’s been a while. Sometimes life interferes with our best laid plans, but things are looking up.

Right now I’m working on another installment of the Whiskey Springs Pack, titled The Call of Her Mate. It centers around Katie Danvers, one of the girls who was working with Celia the day she was held at gunpoint by you know who. (If you have not read that story, it’s The Call of Her Heart). I have brought back two more of the kids from that day, as well as Celia and her mate Logan. And of course, Josh Masters makes an appearance. I couldn’t write about the Whiskey Springs Pack and not include their yummy Alpha.

Then I’m introducing you to a new shifter named Rafael Ramirez. This character is based on someone I knew before I met Mr. Night. Rafe has it all — tall, dark, quiet, handsome, strong, shifter. I could go on but I’d rather you discover him for yourself and maybe fall in love just a little.

The other purpose of The Call of Her Mate is to introduce some of the steamy men from a new series that centers around one of my favorite places, the River Walk in San Antonio, Texas. You may not know this, but the River Walk is home to quite a few paranormal beings. In fact, there is a lot of lore centered around my home time that deals with the unexplained. You can read a little more here. And since we’re discussing unexplained things in my hometown, yes, I have witnessed three of the things on that list!

And good golly Miss Molly it has been hot! I have felt the true meaning of “stifling”. What’s a girl to do but pour a cocktail, grab a fan, and just try to stay cool? Sounds like good advice to me.

So, tell me, lovely. What are you doing to stay cool this summer?

Talk to you soon!
Love,
Stella

How Stella Got Back In Her Groove

I made a boo-boo. I did. When I first uploaded The Call of Her Heart to Kindle Unlimited, I uploaded the wrong manuscript. So, if you ordered The Call of Heart and got The Call of Her Wolf, the error has been corrected.

It’s not the first mistake I’ve made, nor will it be the last. HOWEVER, if I do it again please don’t hesitate to let me know. Email me – it’s the quickest way to get results.

I have two new books in the works: The Call of Her Pack and The Girl and the Wolf, plus a novella in Rebels & Runes: An Urban Fantasy Novella Collection. Busy doesn’t begin to describe how life is right now. But I love it!

As always, stay lovely!
Stella

And It’s Release Day AGAIN!

Oh my gosh! I am so excited — I got this one finished. Yes, I know I just released The Girl and the Wolf, but that one just poured out (figuratively speaking). And I just love The Call of Her Heart. Celia and Logan’s relationship took a lot of TLC.

I hope you enjoy both books as much as I enjoyed writing them for you. As always, you can read them free with Kindle Unlimited.

Hey — have you signed up for the newsletter yet? The most recent included links to four other romance authors. Sign up and you’ll get specials like this and more. Oh! And up there at the top of the page? Links to my Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts. That way you’ll receive Date Night This Weekend teasers, Friday Fantasy pics, and more.

Have a great day, lovelies!

Monday, Monday . . .

Hello, lovelies.

Well, it’s Monday once again. A new week, new possibilities.  I have added a new book to the Haven series. I hope you’ll enjoy Betrayed by the Bear as much as I enjoyed writing it. I believe Xander is my favorite of the Sinclair brothers. Maybe he’ll be your favorite as well. (click on the photo for more info!)

I’ll be adding next-in-series novels to both Sanctuary and the Whiskey Springs Pack soon. By the way, the Books page has been updated to make it easier for you to select a book – or three.

And there will also be a BIG newsletter later in month with some nice holiday surprises for you. Be sure to sign up if you haven’t already.

Until next time. Stay lovely!
Stella

I Want You to be Happy

heart-love-glossy-valentine-romance-romanticAfter years of fits and starts and shoving the idea to the back of mind as I waited for that elusive “right time”, I started writing romance novels full time a few years ago. And of course, when I did, friends and family asked “why romance novels?”

It’s a long and convoluted answer that would take a few hours and several bottles of wine to answer.

A more important question could be “what does reading romance novels do for me?” I admit, I am a voracious reader and I still love romance novels. The queens of my world are descended from Rosemary Rogers, Kathleen Woodiwiss, and Bertrice Small. Ah, the good old fashioned bodice ripper with Fabio on the cover! And trying to hide the cover of the book you were reading in order to fend off uncomfortable discussions.

Things are a bit different now. Electronic readers have done away with the need to hide, bodice rippers on the covers have become ripped bods, and there is a veritable plethora of sub-genre romance readings from which to choose.

But did you know there are benefits to reading what I’m laying down? Oh, yes indeed.

According to Glenn Croston Ph.D. of Psychology Today, reading romance novels can make you happy. Dr. Croston writes “Stories like this can be reassuring, and train our mind to have positive expectations.  And when we have positive expectations about the world, we tend to be happier.”

So, read a romance novel. Or three, or three dozen. After all, I want you to be happy.

Have you signed up for my newsletter? The first one makes the rounds next week and there will be all kinds of goodies in it. Be happy, lovelies!
